Lloyd Webber,
Puccini, Presley & More is an irresistible mix of talent and wonderful music

Millicent
Brandow, founder of Los Cantantes del Lago, has brought together an irresistible
mix of great voices and wonderful music for her benefit concert on Sunday, June
14 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church.
Highlights
of an amazing program include Millicent and Mac Morison singing "All I Ask of
You" from The Phantom of the Opera and "The Prayer". Amy Friend will be
singing the blues and she and Timothy Welch, Music Director of Los Cantantes,
have something special in store. John Jones, a master of Broadway songs, will
be walking "On the Street Where you Live" from My Fair Lady and among the
"Heather on the Hill" from Brigadoon.

Who better to
perform two Elvis Presley songs than Noé Raygoza of Noé & The Classics? And
Amaranta Santos, a very talented recent arrival, will be singing "Heaven on
Their Minds" from Jesus Christ Superstar and "Granada". Millicent will
sing arias from La Bohème and Tosca by Giacomo Puccini.
All proceeds
from this concert go to Los Cantantes del Lago’s Central Mexico Tour 2009.

Ted Dresie and Bob Kelly’s Benefit Concert
Sunday February 1st, 2009

Ted
Dresie, baritone, and Bob Kelly, pianist and Los Cantantes del Lago’s official
photographer gave an extraordinary concert in their own home February 1st
to benefit the choir’s Mexican Tour 2009.
It
wasn't just that Ted sang very well and Bob played piano very well -- which they
did -- but the choice of music was wonderful and the atmosphere every bit as
relaxed, friendly and informal as they had wished.
We even
heard the première performance of a beautiful piano piece written by Bob Kelly
himself called "Midnight Blue". It took Ted to identify the composer as the
(modest) pianist himself.
They
gave performances at 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. and both were sold out with 50 people
at each.
Los
Cantantes would like to thank Ted and Bob most sincerely for their generosity of
time and talent.
